Sadhna Shrivastav, a prominent figure in Indian arts and culture, initiated her career in 1979, navigating the early landscape of television in India. Over the years, she has become an iconic television personality, leaving a lasting impression on audiences from the dynamic 80s and 90s. Her contributions span various roles, including consultant, coordinator of festivals, television anchor, stage compere, and director of documentaries and serials, solidifying her place in India’s cultural narrative. Sadhna has received prestigious awards, such as the International Lifetime Achievement Award in 2009 and the Award for Outstanding Contribution from the Government of Poland in 2011. In 2022, she received the Utsav Samman for Lifetime Achievement and the SaMaPa Award for Excellence in 2023, reinforcing her stature in the arts. Beyond accolades, Sadhna’s commitment is evident through her role in the Expert Committee for the “Safeguarding the Intangible Cultural Heritage and Diverse Cultural Traditions of India” by the Ministry of Culture. She also served as a consultant for the ABU International Dance Festival organised by Prasar Bharati in 2017.
