About Author :

Professor S.P. Ruhela (born 1935) holds the qualifications of M.A., Ph.D. and D.Litt in Sociology, M.Ed. and Certificate in Commonwealth Education (U.K.) He has been teaching Sociology since 1961. He worked as Lectuerer in Sociology at the Raj Rishi College, Alwar (1961-66), Lecturer in Sociology of Education in the Department of Foundations of Education, N.C.E.R.T. New Delhi (1966-69), Reader in Education (Sociology) and then Professor of Education (1983-2000) at the Jamia University, New Delhi till 2000.
