House of Shivaji: Studies and Documents on Maratha History – Royal Period

House of Shivaji: Studies and documents on Maratha history is one of the best book hitherto written on the subject. Jadunath Sarkar was one such versatile historian who believed in a ton of reading before doing a pound of writing. The twenty-four essays based on, Persian manuscripts, Rajasthani dispatches, Portuguese documents, French books, English factory records and Marathi works besides his fieldwork of the related places, cover almost all important aspects of the subject. Needless to say the book is an asset for all those teaching and working on Maratha history for further in-depth study.
