The Author
Professor S.P. Ruhela (born 1935) holds the qualification of M.A., PhD and D.Litt. in Sociology, M.Ed. and Certificate in Common Wealth Education (U.K.) He worked as a Lecturer in Sociology since 1961. He worked as a Lecturer in Sociology at the Raj Rishi College, Alwar (1961-66) Lecturer in Sociology of Education at the Department of Foundations of Education, N.C.E.R.T. New Delhi (1966-69), Reader in Education (Sociology and then Professor of Education 1983-2000) at the Jamia University, New Delhi till 2000. He was also the Head of the School of Education and Dean of the Faculty of Education at the Himachal Pradesh University (197779). Millia Islamia, New Delhi. He has contributed over 45 books and 120 research papers and articles in Sociology, Social Anthropology, Sociology of Education, Child Education, Sociology of Religious and Spiritual Movements, Educational Technology, and Futurology of Education in India. He specializes in Sociology of Education, Sociology of Indian Social Institutions. Sociology of Nomadism, Sociology of Social and Spiritual Movements, Educational Technology and Futurology of Education. His Contributions have been Published in India and also in Germany, Spain, USA, and Japan. He has guided 22 PhD research studies in the Sociology of Education.
